Here is my edit with the attempt to keep the tense constant, the line lengths similar, the punctuation more correct, reduce word/meaning redundancies, take out words that did not mean what I think you meant, etc. I hope kept your unusual rhyme sch...

I know to look at this piece, it doesn't look like I've come far in ten years, however, this piece was woven together through other writes I'd done. Eventually, it became a fairytale story, moreless, which landed it here. Seems readers in the past...

Very nice, Karen! I certainly agree with the message here. Our thoughts are so very powerful! If we only knew how to control and harness that power, how the world could change. Thanks for sharing this with us. Kat

Intrigue like snow enveloped the grounds

at which time, I proceeded to make my

Day 16 - National Novel Writing Week - 25,650 words of 50,000 - - -

At 3 pm local Israeli time, the first Tomahawk arrived at it's destination. Tilting downwards at an angle of 45° the missile landed right on the beach between two of the twelve missile launching trucks. The 1,000 lb. bomb exploded with a vengeance, setting both the truck to the left and to the right of it on fire. Their fuel tanks, slung on the outside were immediately hit by shrapnel from the Tomahawk and they both burst into flames. An enormous plume of sand, shells and stones shot up 100 fContinue

The Journey Doesn't End

The Journey Doesn't End

In every thought, there is a journey
from where it began to where it leads –
does it make you whole or cause you to bleed?
Along the way on any path,
whether you seek to be or not;
you are changed.
Changed from prick of thorn
or feathery touch of gentle breeze
upon the outer shell
that encases and embraces the
person who hides inside.

Encounters of a literate kind
climb through the barriers
of walls and doors
and trickle down into the soul
and form a pool to absorb

Randle was annoyed.

"Look Erbach, I cannot control what Washington wants. They want to be doing pretty much the same as you, plus changing the launch codes. They want to launch at 9 pm GMT and are expected at 6 pm. If they can do all that in a 3-hour time frame, why can't you do it with three times as much time? I was told that you are the foremost expert in this field that we have on our side?"

"You don't get it," said Konrad. "First of all their team will pro

The Land that is No More

The old man and the young boy sat and looked into each others’ eyes. “Read it again, Grandpa. Read me the story of the land that is no more.” So, the old man got up from the bench as he had done so many times before. He pulled the ragged book from the shelf that was empty except for the book and a few scraps of paper and some stubby pencils. As he headed back to the bench where the boy sat waiting in anticipation of hearing the story again, if anyone had been watching – which they might have bee… Continue

National Novel Writing Month (Day 8) - 12,926 of 50,000 words

Snippet

She rang off and wondered whether her plain, navy blue pants suit would be acceptable at 10, Downing Street. She decided it would, as she thought about the Prime Minister.

The right honorable Heather Harrington was Britain's second prime minister after Margaret Thatcher. She was a cool, clear-headed, intellectual who had studied political science at Oxford University. She had all of the finesse and oratorical skills of Tony Blair, as well as an aggressively female side like M

First Frost

The first frost of the year!
Even if I would,
This I cannot ignore.

I must leave my book
And take a look.
Come along with me and see
Tiny flashing icicles
On blades of grass
Smiling at me
Stretching themselves
In the morning sun.
What a wonder!
What a beauty -
God’s breath frozen on the ground
Look! Look! - what we ha

CrAzY BeAuTiFuL (Revised Some More)

C r A z Y - B e A u T i F u L

Tonight, I took a long stroll down a
secluded path along side the beach.
I dread the very entity of my life that
reveals my failed attempts to reach.

Lost inside my soul and lonely
within this damnation called my life;
I'm a memory to a few good men,
someone's barren former wife.

Nothing to bequest to the world if
my life should come to an abrupt end.
I'm a painting, a portrait with colors
worn. I'm faded in ravished blends.

God help us!

12 dead, 31 wounded at Fort Hood here in Texas.
It was a warm sunny day.
The dogs played outside today in the sunshine.
My birthday is tomorrow.
12 dead, 31 wounded at Fort Hood here in Texas.
It is a cool, crisp Autumn evening.
The doves, Butch and Sundance, are cooing in their cage.
I'll be 63.
12 dead, 31 wounded at Fort Hood here in Texas.
Anger rages in my soul.
Sadness rises into my eyes.
Our prayers are for those who survived.

Mother Nature's Orchestra (Revised)

Mother Nature's Orchestra

As I strolled to the edge of the pier,
she bestowed herself upon my ears.
I kicked off my old shoes and socks,
pinned up my hair of golden locks.

I sat down to submerge my feet.
Her loving song sounded so sweet.
Whistling birds and splashing fish,
serenaded by music in peaceful wish.

The geese, beetles, bugs and bees;
crickets and the whisper of her trees.
The suns reflection casting off gold;
refreshing water on my skin so cold.
