Thank you Jonathan for closing a gap in my education. My desk dictionary only had the definitions I mentioned and I had not used that word other than in that context. Looking further in to it, I do find your usage. Don

Beautiful piece in the sense of true hope. Just this morning, I was commenting that I now understand the bear - hybernating through winter. It seems a good idea to sleep and awake to smell the roses. Of course, here in South Texas, some of our roses…

Jonathan, I got into your poem and even read it aloud to myself to get a feel of the meter. I like "frost's fiery fingers chill" which at first blush might seem like a contradiction but when someone like me reads that and remembers grabbing a car d…

Here's the answer to your questions
1.Here , initial velocity=0, final velocity=35 miles/hr
not both of them are 35 miles/hr
2. 1 foot= 12 inches
3 feet=1 yard
22 yards=1 chain
10 chains=1 furlong
8 furlongs=1 mile
So, 12 feet =4 yards
and from this you can calculate the rest
3.deceleration means retardation.Since the velocity decreased to zero. Also there was a typos error, in my blog
displacement=average velocity x time
I hope you find this useful.Feel free to ask any question.

Also I liked your approach to my question of getting the number 31 by using only digit 3 exactly five times but the actual answer to it is the one given by Prescott. This is coz I asked you to use only digit 3 five times and no other digit.Plz check out the answer given by Prescott.

Fire and Ice

In the cold and bitter winter,
When frost’s fiery fingers chill;
When lumps of frozen ground,
Iron clad in ice lie still -
Under a deep black, morning mantled sky;
Then wonder I, at the fallow wasted land,
Where in the summer, green grass grew,
And every daye freshe blankets of floures,

Sprinkled the meadows with dusty showers.
Where in springtime,

Back to Poetry

I saw a vision,
Paint it... Paint it...
Write it in paint.
Color it -

Make the dark clouds light or pink.
Dip your brush,
Do not think. . .
Make the coffee colored day

Your way,
Your way.

Pray - and say -
- We will play
With created things,
Make the winter trees,
Wear a summer breeze.

Call the children,
Come and see!
What I can do.
And you c

First Frost

The first frost of the year!
Even if I would,
This I cannot ignore.

I must leave my book
And take a look.
Come along with me and see
Tiny flashing icicles
On blades of grass
Smiling at me
Stretching themselves
In the morning sun.
What a wonder!
What a beauty -
God’s breath frozen on the ground
Look! Look! - what we ha
