Yes, God is love, so the answer from Him is always framed in love. That is why He sent His Son as a babe to grow and live as man. It was for love's sake. And Jesus lived for love and died for love and rose again for the same. Now, God calls to each…

For Christmas?

I've found myself thinking about God a lot lately. In conversing via email with another member here, I found myself stating that I believe in a personal God. That statement has been going round and round in my head for days. How do you explain to others what you mean when you say a "personal God"?

So here goes:
There came a day, many many years ago, that a strange and wonderful thing happened. I was, so I thought, at the end of my ropes. I desired nothing more than to go about the business of r… Continue

"Breaks"

A list, I think,
I'll make
of things, I know,
can break.

Like wings and bones
and shoelaces,
and wills and nails
and china vases.

These are, of course,
a few;
many more, I think,
I knew.

If knowing, per chance,
is part,
of avoiding a
broken heart.

I'll try my best
to remember,
the breaks that
made me limber.

A Child Called Fear

Once upon a time in a far away kingdom called Hatred there lived a child called Fear. Fear's father was called Feel Nothing and her mother was called See Nothing.

Now, Feel Nothing and See Nothing spent all their time creating a lovely Void for Fear to live in. They sincerely believed that if Fear lived in a Void, where no feeling or seeing was present, the child would turn out to be a good citizen of Hatred and, more importantly, would bring them great pride and pleasure.

Fear knew that Hatre… Continue

No, Don, I don't have the eBook with color illustrations yet. Would love to see it!

We feed Hannah a weight management dog food also from the Vet's...just doesn't seem to work. She's almost at maximum dose on the Diet Medication, Slentrol, also. She weighs 66.7 lbs, but she is an English Bulldog and I don't think I've ever seen a slim one! My main concern is her bone structure. English Bulldogs have hip dysplasia and almost always develop arthritis in their later years. If you recall, she's already had two surgeries on her hind legs (one on each at a cost of $3000.00! each). I would never advise anyone to get one of these dogs unless they are wealthy. They are wonderful pets, but they have many problems.

Poop dump inspector! Isn't that the same as an executive? :-)

Smiling,
Kat

Hi Kat,

Yep, been busy on a number of projects. The eBook is nearing completion. Did I send you a more recent copy with color illustrations? If not, I will so you can see the progress.

Our vet said that we have to keep Peatl's weight down too. So, wen she was about eight months old we started feeding her Nutro Ultra Max Weight Management dog food (half dry/canned sized for her weight, under 10 lbs.) Works great. Have lamb and chicken with veggies [if things get tough... :)] If she starts to gain, (and we got a scale and weigh her every week or so... is that too much?) we cut back a little and it works!

Never thought that I would go from an executive to a poop dump inspector! So goes fate.
Smile,
Don

Great to hear from you, Don! I know you've been very busy with your e-book, but I've missed seeing you around.
How's the e-book coming? Can't wait to see it all ready for download.
Thanks for the compliment about my Haikus. Sometimes, we just have to "lean" the rules a bit.
Hannah is still on a diet and taking a diet medication for dogs that costs us over $100 a month! She's only lost 5 lbs., soooo, I don't know how much longer we can do this.
Good for Pearl! :-)
You keep smiling too,
Kat

Hi Kat,

Just stumbled by (so to speak) and read your haikus again. Good work in spite of the rules. Actually, you stick to the 5-7-5 rule and everything above is about nature in one way or the other. How's Hannah doing after her medical issues... if I remember correctly? Pearl is running the household here.
Keep smiling...
