Disenchantment on the line -
Fine!

Who are you anyway?
Large vulture,
Brooding in the snow,
Looking at your watch -
- Impatient to go?

Then go!
What are you waiting for?

Me?
Your midday meal?
I should have guessed!

Well,
Not today!
You broody pest!

PS. I have just completed Life After Death: The Burden of Proof. Fascinating. I have the book - to meditate slowly on passages from it - and the Audio-CD - because I always get a better all round picture when I hear something - I have a penchant for auditory intelligence.

I am now going through The Third Jesus again, this time trying to use his 15 meditative exercises (one per week daily).

What with my poetry and the rest, my poor novel is suffering a lot of neglect right now.

I have read some of Gary Zukov; but mainly heard his audio-CD. Didn't I post this one? In case I didn't here it is again: @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
Gary Zukov in his Soul Stories audio-CD told about the little girl whose parents said that God would always answer her prayers.
Her birthday was coming up and she went to her parents and said them, “I asked God to make it snow on my birthday.” She lived in the southern States and her birthday was in July when average daily temperatures ran in the nineties. Her parents didn’t say anything, but worried that she was likely to be upset when it didn’t snow on her birthday.
They duly invited all her friends and had a swim party that day with cake and soda, candies and treats to follow while she opened her presents. She seemed to be having a wonderful time.
After all her friends had gone home and they had tidied up, her mother asked her whether she had been disappointed that God had not answered her prayers.
“He did answer my prayers,” she said, “I asked him, and he said, ‘No.’”

I will look into Deepak's book. I have one of his books now that I just got from Amazon.com. The one about Death?
Yes, I too have been interested in these matters since the 60's. Have you read Gary Zucav? (sp?)

".....these types of things have always happened with me...."

Kat, I really highly recommend that you treat yourself to the audio CDs of Deepak's book: "The Spontaneous Fulfilment of Desire" which is fascinating, and goes into all this sort of thing in depth.

Actually back the the 1960s I was already interested in this. I remember reading a book by Arthur Koestler, The Roots of Coincidence, back then.

Carl Jung, the famous Swiss psychologist, also wrote - I believe quite extensively - on these phenomena.

I know what you mean. This happens to me all the time! I'll get really interested in something that has never occupied my mind and then, before I know it, there is something in the news or other media about it. Or, I'll be thinking about someone and that person will contact me, etc. This is just a very small example, but I think I know what you're saying.

Sometimes I'll be thinking about a certain subject, and then I'll see a book about it. Very strange, but these types of things have always happened with me.

Take care,
Kat

When I wrote this yesterday morning, I had a clear image come up of a railway line with a vulture by it.
As you know I usually try to find a relevant picture on Google Image search for everything I post.
After I had finished writing, I typed in "snow" and "vulture" and Google brought up this pic.
It is amazingly similar to the image I had in my mind - before I even saw it.
This is what Deepak Chopra would mean by being in contact with the 'subtle realm' - the inner world of artists, mystics, saints, etc. - that is the link between levels of consciousness.
So I am not surpised really. But I just wanted to share.
Love
Jonathan

As I always tell my better half when we spot a Vulture, "Even Vultures have a job to do, a role to play in the overall scheme of things". He never responds! :-)
